Fastly approaching the midnight hour

Word received for the end of May 2024

Scripture reference: Acts 16:16-40 - The Imprisonment of Paul & Silas

I believe that we are entering into a time where suddenly the prison doors will be opened, chains will be released and many will encounter freedom, healing and deep joy.

There have been many who have cried out to the Lord for release from chains, from bondage, from oppression and opposition that they have faced in the Spirit and he has heard their cries. There are many who, in the face of trial, tribulation and temptations have offered prayer and praise to Jesus in the confines of their specific situations and circumstances and the midnight hour, the hour of complete breakthrough, is quickly approaching. There will be a sudden release and immediately chains will fall off. It will happen in a moment and it will extend far beyond any one person or individual but will be a blessing for the broader body as a whole.

Yet the earthquake didn't just bring liberty, it also came with salvation. The jailer, waking from sleep, cried out in fear and was going to take his own life but Paul spoke to him and he heard the Good News of Jesus and his entire household was saved. There is salvation coming for captors who have been asleep in the darkness and they will receive the revelation light of Jesus Christ and will be born again into the Kingdom.

In the same hour the wounds were cleansed and the man was baptised (verse 33). Likewise the pain of the prison season that many are still in will be removed at this same appointed time of deliverance and the stings of the past will be removed in a moment.

The release of the captives comes through the cross of Christ

I then saw Jesus bend the bars of the cell and enter into it. He made a way as he did for us to leave the prison behind. It was an exchange. He takes our place in the prison so we do not need to remain.

I heard him say, 'debts are fully paid'.

Through the way that Christ made it led to a wide open space. Beautiful fields, rolling hills and an endless horizon.

He turned to me, 'it's time to lose the mindset of captivity and dwell in the open space with me'.

An invitation into a time of transfiguration and metamorphosis as our minds our renewed - the old mindset of captivity is no longer needed and in its place a new mindset will abound, the mindset of liberty and abundance. Even the inherited mindset of spiritual warfare is going to radically shift and change in this new season with YHVH. I saw this open space completely covered in the Father's protection so that no outside forces could make their way in. This is a sacred space, a safe space, the life we find IN Christ Himself, where no sickness, sin or defilement can enter in.

Here is where we enlarge and increase. Isaiah 54:2, 'Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes'.

He is clearing away the debris - anything that can cause you to stumble or anything that will stop expansion from taking place.

There is a time of contention that has been happening in the Spirit as land is being claimed and inheritance is being released, yet it is YHVH who is doing this on our behalf, we can simply rest in the waiting, knowing that fullness is coming.

Isaiah 30:15a, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength...' (emphasis mine).

There is a divine invitation into quietness and trust in this time.

Finally I heard the Holy Spirit say, 'In the last few hundred feet, stay in step with me'.

I saw there was a temptation to try and rush ahead but as we take one day, one step at a time with the Holy Spirit, we will all overcome and enter into the fullness of what we have been expecting and pressing into for years.

I saw all of us standing in a circle facing outwards and as we each take a step in time with the Spirit, we walk in unison and we all see and experience the expanding Kingdom happening in us and around us.

A win for one is a win for all. We are all overcoming together, as one. Therefore let us stay in humility and in a heart posture of repentance as this is larger than any one battle or victory.

Finally, I heard the Lord say, 'the fire on the altar will never go out'. I was brought full circle back to praise and its signficance for us during this time.

The doors will open, the prisoners released. Let praise arise in this time and let us watch the deliverance that YHVH will bring to those who love and fear Him.
