The Position of Rest

Updated: Oct 1, 2024

I am bringing my people in this time into places and positions of authority in the Spirit.
My heart in this time is to bring people out of ashes; the dust of the past and the 'wastelands of the world', and into permanent habitations of peace.

Rest is the place of 'rulership' in the Spirit, where we choose to align with His purposes and see from His perspective.

Get Ready to Enter into Purpose

As you choose to align with YHVH's perspective, life suddenly changes and is no longer meaningless or 'fruitless'.

As this alignment takes place, meaning is no longer something that you search for, but rather, live from.

You were born at this time for a reason. You were born to release the light of Christ through your life on the altar.

This light, the revelation of who Jesus is through your unique expression in creation, is necessary and needed.

You are needed far more than you have seen or realised.

The truth of what Jesus has done is becoming known to the masses. Yet YHVH is looking for vessels of truth, those whose lives can run over and reveal who He truly is to an orphan world.

You cannot try to make the Gospel known, but rather as you remain faithful and continue in love, who Jesus is will be seen. Therefore, remain and abide in Him... set Him as the first in your life, the desire of your heart and keep Him at the forefront of their thinking.

As you do, you will discern and walk into His peace.

You will grow in revelation and start to 'discern the signs of the times'.

You will walk in the full authority of your sonship.

Today is a day to leave the 'fruitless' distractions of darkness and begin again to engage with grace, the grace that is found in Jesus.

Be strong. Stand with the strength that the Holy Spirit gives, and know that all these trials that you are experiencing are simply enabling you to be clothed in His glory.

A New Gift

Jesus is releasing the gift of discernment to many and also calling people to stand in His counsel; to see solutions for others that will help them to walk in step with the Spirit.

He does not want people staying in their flesh - relying upon their own strength, gifts, understanding. Rather, He wants a generation who has laid all of these down, at the altar, and are walking with the Holy Spirit, doing what they would otherwise be unable to do.

This is the age of walking with the Holy Spirit continually. This is what Christ desires for us all in life. This is the abundant life.

It's time to leave behind the 'worldly mindset'. We don't need to operate in anything other than intimacy. As we do, Jesus does the work that we could otherwise give to ourselves. He is the force of all transformation and we are His. As we yield to Him in this way, we begin to grow and mature, discovering more and more of the inheritance we have in Him.

He is wanting to lead us into 'all the truth'. This can only be done personally. Yet what He is releasing through the gift of discernment and through engaging with His counsel, is the ability to help others start and give them the tools they need to grow with Him in their own walk, going on their own journey.

An Invitation into Maturity

Once again, His heart is for us all to mature and start to shine; the release our light into creation.

In order for us to be a people of revelation, who share Jesus with others, we must grow in wisdom and understanding. We are called to go from milk to solid food. We are invited to not know the Father simply as an infant but as a mature son, who can understand His ways and walk in His likeness.

The Holy Spirit is the person who does this.

I see Him stirring our hearts to hunger for Him once again, unlike anything we have known before. He is revealed in the yearning and He will fill the yearning with greater glimpses of who Jesus truly is.

As we see Him more and more, the world will become less and less and we will have no desire to feast on the tables of the world.

To whosoever chooses to 'turn aside', to seek Him and to allow themselves to become hungry for Him, He will give Himself without restraint.

'Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for you will be filled'. Matthew 5:6

We have to make an internal choice daily to be unwilling to walk in step with the world and then even go beyond this and be 'wanting for nothing'.

As we grow, we are going on a journey of learning what it means to be content.

Like David in Psalm 131, we will say, ‘like a weaned child in the arms of its mother, I am content’.

This is a choice and as our spiritual muscles begin to grow once again, we will be able to exercise the spirit of 'self-mastery' that we have been given to train ourselves to become content in all things.

As we begin, shining becomes inevitable because we are experiencing, tasting, the reality of our salvation and are knowing, deeply and personally, the 'blessed life'.

All of this starts and ends in rest.

I see two specific gifts Jesus releasing to those who are entering into rest.

The first is an increase capacity. You will be able to do and handle far more than anything you've known before.

The second is you will become a 'herald' of the Kingdom.

I see you being given the ability to 'read the news' from heaven's perspective.

This 'news' will come to your ears and as it does, you will rejoice because what the Father has prepared for this generation is very, very good.

I see delight increasing within you. In fact, you will begin to experience so much delight that, regardless of your earthly circumstances and situations, gladness begins to flow out of you.

What starts with a trickle, will turn into a fast flowing river. What may seem unnoticed at first, will get the attention of many, many people.

Joy will even become infused within your very being.

As the Holy Spirit continue to work in your life and the lives of others, He will raise you up to go to many different people and share the joy that's within you.

He's in the process of cleansing and purifying many vessels, many people groups. As an authentic hunger will rise for the Holy Spirit, you will be sent to pour out what He is pouring in. The truth will be released and many will celebrate, as they realise what they have waited for and even laboured for in prayer.

Be prepared to hear people ask you, ‘What's your secret?'

When they do, speak about rest.

You will bring, in time, a proper perspective of what life is and what’s happening in the world. The 'news' of the goodness of Abba, Father will spread far and wide and the ‘revival’ that comes will not be something that people chase after in the flesh but will be something that they receive deeply within themselves, in the confines of their own rooms, in the quiet and hidden places.

This joy that I mentioned will continue to grow within you until you become a living flame in the House of YHVH. Then you will minister the Gospel from the place of purity, having been through many fires and as you share from a place of authenticity, many people will say 'yes' to the invitation to become like you, to become like Jesus.

Application

Once again, start seeking the understanding of the love of the Father. Know the love that surpasses knowledge; how rich and wide and deep and high this love truly is. In doing so, my prayer is that you'll be filled with the reality of the fullness of the I AM and your life will never be the same again.

Understand the power of small choices and decisions. Know that a single step in one direction will lead you to an entirely different destination, as you choose to persevere and persist over time.

Remember that nothing can keep you from His will, as long as you are turning your heart to Him and seeking Him first in your life.

He is faithful and He is able. This joy is your crown and it will never perish, spoil or fade but my prayer is that it will burn brighter with each passing day until you appear before Him in Zion.

The world is no longer a 'safe space' but Abba's arms always will be. The way has been made, so make the choice to day... dare to believe that He is able and that this life, the life of resting in Him, truly will lead you into all the fullness of all that He has for you.

May blessings be yours in abundance,

A brother in Christ and a co-heir with you in the Gospel.
