UK - Shake off the Dust

An Encouragement for Every Member of the Body of Christ in the U.K.

‘Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendour… shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion’.

You, yes you, are invited by the Lord to leave behind the dust of the past; pains, aches, bumps and scrapes that have kept you captive and robbed you of the light of life. There is no need to continue on, living in little; living in a land where hope has left and joy has departed. It is time to leave behind both offence and bitterness and come into all of the new.

I saw over the UK a layer of dust caused by stagnation, places where the air has become stale.

There is no need to fear the past because I have brought you into fullness. The old things and the old order of things has passed away and now all I need you to do to enter into your promised land is believe the good news about my Son Jesus Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to take you on a journey of leaving behind your old loves; the things that once satisfied you which are no longer needed or necessary. I want a bride for my Son and one who is willing to wait and work, like Rebecca by the well, not out of duty or a false sense of responsibility but out of generosity of spirit. If you lack this spirit, here is an invitation for you to ask.

I saw many who were settling with the portion that the world has given them and this has allowed the build-up of dust over their lives. I heard the Father say that there are many in the UK who are not willing to dream about what their lives could be without the fear of disappointment… For when they receive me, they truly receive all that they need in order to thrive not only in this age but also the one to come. There is a need to leave behind all your own building blocks and come to my Son who will give you what you need (like Joseph during the famine) to thrive in the land.

I saw the Father extend an invitation to come and dream with Him about what life could be… not your own wishful thinking but asking and receiving the plans that He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you to give you a hope and a future.

There is coming a time soon where the kingdom of the world will be shaken tremendously and he wants you to inhabit the Kingdom that cannot be shaken.

I also saw that just as the lepers had to go show themselves to the priest and then they were cleansed, so the Lord’s people - any who are willing and wanting - will have to arise still covered in dust and boldly go as they are, for many have been waiting for the fulfilment of promises, and the Lord himself has been waiting for you to take him at his word and boldly go into what He has. Just like the lepers, you must believe and take him at his word and as you go, your healing will quickly appear and provision will be given and grace will be granted. Heaven is waiting for your response. What will it be?

I saw that the temptation was to delay by trying to get your own house in order first, but the Lord wants you now as you are to go and advance. Let us be a people who obey and believe even before we have seen the full manifestation of the promise. To get up and go and allow heaven to begin to work in response to your faith.

When Jesus sent out the seventy-two he gave the instruction to go and anywhere where you are not accepted, shake the dust off of your feet as a warning against them.

We need to come back to following the Spirit as the children of God and becoming like the wind.

There is a call to leave behind the places where you have been unaccepted, rejected and continue on in your peace, following His leading and guiding. If plans haven’t worked out the way you wanted or if there has been hardship that has risen against you continually... shake off the dust and advance. Do not delay.

Even as a layer of dust distorts the colour, so have people’s lives become dull and bread has become stale. There needs to be a daily waking up to this reality of Christ in your life and seeing Him today, in the here and now for that is where you will find Him. The UK needs airing, the mouldy bread (yesterday’s manna) needs discarding and we need to arise and boldly enter into all that the Lord has prepared for us in this day, hour, minute and moment. Let us resolve to set our faces like a flint and head towards our Jerusalem; the will of God for our lives.
